History

VB Stahlblechverarbeitungsgesellschaft mbH was established in 1984 by Bernhard Vahldieck and Norbert Böer was founded. The medium-sized Steel Service Center is still owner-managed today. The core business to this day is Sheet steel blanks, stock formats  and Contract work from coil

Steel Service Center since 1984

Our company has been represented as a steel service centre in the steel industry for more than 35 years. A lot has happened since then. In the world, as well as at VB Stahl. We as a company have constantly developed and successfully adapted to any situation. Starting with the production of steel sheet blanks from plates, we continued with the purchase of a cut-to-length line, which enabled us to cut sheets from coils. In addition, we are constantly striving to make our production more sustainable and safer. For example, in the form of a solar plant, which has been in operation since 2014. This is how we have managed to be a reliable partner for our customers in the past. And in the future, too, we will always work on ourselves to continue this promise.

VB Stahl | Historie

Today as in the past,
We are here for you.

Thanks to lean operating structures, we guarantee the shortest delivery times. From small to large series: our speciality is the flexible implementation of customer-specific wishes. To this end, we use steels from German and Western European manufacturers and of course manufacture according to the principles of quality management in accordance with DIN ISO 9001.

Foundation

Founded in 1984 by Norbert Böer and Bernhard Vahldieck. The aim was to break through corporate structures in order to find more flexible and simpler solutions.

1984

Purchase of the first automatic cutting machine

With the purchase of an automatic cutting system, shorter production processes and thus faster delivery times could be achieved.

1987

Purchase of a cut-to-length line and thus production from the assembly line

This step made it possible to produce the steel sheet blanks directly from the coil. This made us much more flexible and enabled us to better adapt to the wishes of our customers.

1994

Purchase of the first AMADA

The purchase of the AMADA automatic cutting centre led to an optimisation of our production. For example, we were able to achieve significantly tighter tolerances.

2001

Purchase of the production halls in Sarstedt

In 2013 we decided to buy and modernise the production halls and office buildings where we have been producing since 1984.

2013

Installation of a large new photovoltaic system

We can cover a large part of our electricity consumption with renewable energy. We also reduce our CO2 emissions.

2014

Purchase second AMADA

With the purchase of the second AMADA, we have adapted to the increased volume requirements of our customers. This allows us to further optimise our fast delivery times.

2018

Handover to the next generation

With this step, we have consolidated the future of the company ahead of time, thus creating security and clarity for our customers and suppliers.
